Chauniqua Young is an accomplished employment and civil rights lawyer who has dedicated her career to advocating for workers' rights and advancing workplace equality. As a partner with Outten & Golden LLP in Manhattan, attorney Chauniqua Young represents employees in complex litigation before state and federal courts and in arbitration, overseeing every stage of the legal process while leading litigation teams and developing significant employment cases.
Before becoming a partner in 2021, Chauniqua Young served as an associate at the firm, departing for a year to serve as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. In that role she managed a substantial civil caseload, gaining valuable judicial experience she went on to apply in her litigation practice. Earlier in her career, she was a Bertha Fellow at the Center for Constitutional Rights, where she helped litigate high-profile civil rights cases involving alleged constitutional violations by government agencies and contributed to community education efforts.
In addition to her legal practice, Chauniqua Young is a nationally recognized speaker on employment law.
